HOW WE CAN HELP YOU

FURNITURE AND FABRIC SHOWROOMS

A large showroom was not attracting the sales they anticipated, even with classic and modern furniture of the highest quality. We assessed that the atmosphere seemed jumbled and the overall view was too expansive. We hired a company to come up with a solution to change the ambient lighting to include more spaces with individual pieces and to use vertical elements such as etageres, bookshelves and false-walls to stop the eye and create more room-like settings. The space is much more interesting now and easier to focus on individual styles, and therefore, sales have increased.

RESIDENTIAL AND COMMERCIAL DESIGN FIRMS

A top-tier design firm was having trouble keeping key personnel employed in the showroom and the principal asked for our help with compensation packages. I analyzed the personnel by responsibilities, length of time with the company and dependability, and came up with more concrete job descriptions. We determined compensation did not necessarily need to be more, but directly tied to performance.  The firm has experienced more personnel stability, which has led to higher profitability overall.

ARTISANS AND MANUFACTURES

An interior designer created a collection of cornices for drapery treatment in traditional styling with carving and wood finishes. The collection was struggling to make a prominent profit, so I suggested adding modern styles and different metal finishes to bring the concept up-to-date with today’s modern designs. I also helped develop sample boards that showed the different design styles with appropriate fabrics to demonstrate its versatility for diverse room environments. The collection is available now in several trade showrooms.

INTERIOR DESIGNERS

A highly published interior designer wished to expand her furniture collection to other markets outside of Dallas.  She had heard conflicting reports on the viability of other markets, so we discussed which markets would be the most appropriate for the price range and particular style of her collections. After researching other cities, we determined which markets she should target first and created a short list of showrooms in those cities where her products would receive the most attention. She has already opened in the first market.
